Advanced Power Components (LON:APC), the AIM listed distributor and manufacturers’ representative of electronic components have announced that Phil Lancaster its Operations director and Rob Smith the Finance director have purchased shares in the company this month.  Phil Lancaster, who joined Advanced Power Components in 1995, increased his personal holding to 391,600 ordinary shares by adding 240,000 shares recently, whilst Rob Smith who was appointed to the board of directors during March 2010 having previously been the Finance Director and Acting CEO at Densitron Technologies (LON:DSN), purchased 50,000 ordinary shares. Also recently through specialist electronic news, Advanced Power Components announced an agreement with Ceramic & Microwave Products (CMP), that will allow them to act as distributor and representative for 5 additional manufacturers brands within APC-Novacom which will enhance their product range and sales potential. 

Commenting on the agreement Steve Butcher, VP of Sales for CMP, added:

“We have been very impressed by the technical capabilities demonstrated by APC-Novacom which have led to significant growth in the products they have been selling for CMP to date. We are confident that both organisations will benefit significantly by extending this coverage to include more of the CMP companies.” [2]

Having returned to profit in H1 FY10, investors will be hoping for a return to full year profits to be announced during the next company trading update which has historically been mid September following the August year end.  Astaire Securities a house broker recently announced that they had increased their full year profit before tax forecast from £202k to £220k. [3]
