I've been taking a look at Blancco Technology (LON:BLTG) recently as I spotted that it's growing quite fast with some further near-term opportunities for growth. It primarily does data erasure and, to a lesser extent, mobile diagnostics. This is not a sector I know a lot about although most investors will be familiar with the recent 'right to be forgotten' EU/Google case as a high profile example of regulatory pressure for data erasure.

I won't post tonnes of background on Blancco Technology (LON:BLTG) as there are some good investor presentations on its website which can better explain the company. It used to be called Regenersis. See this in particular: http://www.blancco.com/investors/videos/capital-markets-event-2017/

FYI it is posting half-year results on Tuesday. I don't hold at the moment but I am half-tempted to buy some tomorrow before results which have already been trailed as 'modestly ahead' of full year market expectations. Following this announcement the house broker has upgraded its expectations which are now for £32m revenue and 9.2p EPS in y/e June 2017. At a share price of 290p that puts this on a P/E of 31 which isn't too bad for a company which seems to be growing strongly. This would represent 43% revenue growth compared with 2016. The same broker has 15.4p EPS for 2019 which means the p/e would fall to 19. Of course this doesn't allow much room for slipping up. The broker expects revenue growth of around 20-25% for 2018 onwards.

Some positives:
- The new EU data protection law is coming into effect in May 2018. I don't know much about this but the company says this could provide further opportunities (it is not clear if the house broker is pricing this in or not).
- Aside from the regulatory tailwind, the data erasure market is growing and Blancco has grown revenues 50% pa over the last two years.
- It is the market leader by a very large margin. It is roughly 7x bigger than its nearest competitor in data erasure. Mobile diagnostics is a much more competitive space.
- Blancco Technology (LON:BLTG) is benefiting from currency devaluation as it derives a lot of revenue from the US.
