Education Development International, one of the UK's leading providers of educational qualifications and assessment services, announced that it has appointed Mr. Ioan Morgan, CBE to the role of Further Education Strategy Advisor. A veteran educator, Mr. Morgan was previously the chief executive of The Warwickshire College Group - highly regarded by regulator Ofstead as a provider of work based learning.

Mr. Morgan will help guide EDI as it develops its strategy in the further education sector - anticipating changes to be brought forth by the government's spending review this month.

EDD shares have declined by 13% over the last year.
