Thanks to all who joined the webinar and listened to me go hoarse for 50 minutes. It was the first one we've done and I hope we covered some interesting topics. Unfortunately we forgot to press record for the first 3 minutes ! But we'll get what we have up and online soon.

I would have liked to see it but was unable to; it doesnt work on linux! (bizarrely it does work on the android os)
This is the 1st time in the 8 yrs i've been using linux i was unable to see something on the web

I thought it was a well (briskly) paced presentation. Volume was loud and clear.

Alot to take in, in 45 minutes...but better to present that way than at a speed which is too slow and distractions kick in. I took lots of notes and will go back and work through things over the next few days.

Real time RNS would be a huge plus, as and when it becomes available. (Also major shareholders in each Co, which was mentioned in the Q & A).

Hi Schober, sorry you couldn't connect via Linux- we're using a third party system for the Webinars and I am as baffled as you as to why it's not Linux compatible. We'll have a chat to them and see if this can be sorted out or if there's a better system out there. Best, M

Quite interesting listening to today's web-cast. It would be interesting to see Paul have a look at a balance sheet - pref one he hasn't seen before. I thought he was talking his own book a little today, which is fair enough since those are the companies he has ready opinions about. I dont think he said if/when he was doing so..

Presenting him with a stock report/balance sheet with the company name obscured would be interesting.

Tech question: is it possible to see a stream of other people's comments and questions, à la markets live.. though I have no idea if mine were delivered even.. and climb out of that piano.

Hi Snickers,

Thanks for the feedback. We wanted to give a flavour for stocks which had cropped up recently which met my investing criteria, and for me to explain why, using the StockReport - hence going through Spaceandpeople, Vislink, Helphire. It's been made clear in my morning reports that I bought shares in those, but you're right I probably should have made it clearer in the Webcast which stocks I own personally - we'll do that next time.

I don't know how we can get round the problem of talking my own book - in that if I like a share, I'll buy some. Maybe we could pick a share next time which I like but haven't yet bought?

To be honest, we didn't agonise over stock picks, but just talked about a few that jumped into my mind. We also talked about several which readers submitted, so CAP, Goldplatt, Indigovision, etc, were all listener suggestions, which happen to be owned by me.

Good idea re balance sheets - a balance sheet review is a key part of my investing process, and we didn't really touch on that today.

It was the first thing like this I've ever done, so was a bit nervous, but hopefully overall it was useful?

Will try to improve next time :-)

Thanks for putting on today's webinar, which I found enormously useful in terms of the key areas of the stock report page you home in on to gain a first impression of a stock. There's some features there I wasn't even aware of...! Some interesting stock ideas for further research too.

Would also be keen to learn more of the Titan Small Cap Fund that you mentioned in the Spreadbet Magazine recently, if you can, even at a high-level? Sounds an interesting concept...

Hi Paul

Interesting webinar today. I think you did very well considering it was your first webinar. I'd have been very nervous and stuttered quite a bit I think! Shame about the sound quality, hopefully that can get sorted moving forward.
I like 'snickers' idea of just presenting you with a random stock and you spending more time actually going through how you pick a part a stock using stockreport digging deeper into balance sheets.
I agree that the 'broker consensus' table is particularly useful and I've noticed that a couple of stocks in my portfolio which have underperformed in the recent downturn have a downward trend in the forecast table. Interestingly the two gold stocks you've bought recently also have a downward forecast trend also. I'm going to make sure I do a quick check on the forecasts moving forward before I buy a stock.

Enjoyed todays webinar ... if you think Getech (LON:GTC) has good prospects you should compare it to a similar company operating out of Norway Spectrum ASA (OSL:SPU). I think it's a better value play.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. The sound quality appears to be impacted when changing web pages and it's something we are talking to our webinar software providers about to resolve going forwards. It's fine in the recording, but clearly isn't optimal when live.

We are all still quite green when it comes to doing these webinars so please do let us know how we can improve them. It was the first 'conversation' piece that we have done and I thought the format was quite promising - I tried to let Paul do the talking and only comment every now and then if there was something that needed clarifying with regards to the website features / interpretation. Do let me know if you think the balance was right or not.

Please keep them coming, I agree it was promising. Would like to have seen Paul give an overview of how he would create a stockscreen but maybe that is just me. One for a future webinar prehaps?

Best yet. In telling what he did Paul gave me a lot of insight and in doing so showed how to use your site better. I learned much. Please keep the "double act" together for future webinars. Would be interested to hear from Paul how he uses your site to monitor his holdings.
