I have sent this to Roger Lawson at Sharesoc this morning;

I challenge the legality of the enormous increase in H-L's charges followed by even more charges for taking my business elsewhere.

If enough people are willing to join me, I will;

- make a formal complaint to the FCA on the grounds of bad conduct.

- Make a refusal to accept the charges, in writing to H-L.

- Threaten to take them to the Small Claims Court to recover my money.

- Take them to the small Claims Court if they do not return it.

If we accept this injustice, the other providers will follow H-L's example.

How many people are willing to make a stand on this?

PS. Firms and cheats get away with bad conduct because most people cannot be bothered to fight; I always fight and have never regretted it; and the small amount of time it takes.

Over the last 20 years, I have been in the Small Claims Court about 20 times, and have won 19 times. The best was against a chartered accountant for the refund of my money overpaid; he had a solicitor and a barrister and I was on my own as a plaintiff in Person; the very kind Judge saw the unfairness of my position and awarded me costs.

It is amazing how quickly the other side backs down when they know this. I take MoneyWeek to read while waiting, so no investment time is lost! :-)

I also want to thank Roger Lawson for the excellent work he does. I admire his generous spirit.
