Intercede, the Leicester based supplier of identity and credential management software, released Interim results to September 2011 showing sales of £3.5 million (2010: £3.5 million), pre-tax profit of £653,000 (2010: £1.2 million) and EPS of 0.9p (2010: 1.8p).

The company reported that H1 2010/11 included £1 million of sales from Boeing. Overheads were £2.8 million (2010: £2.2 million), reflecting developing the infrastructure to support future growth. The average number of employees and contractors increased from 56 to 67 year on year. R&D included development of a new technology to enable the providing of digital certificates to mobile devices. Developing this expertise serves to protect the existing market position should mobile devices overtake smart cards as the principal means of asserting strong identity. Period end net cash was £6.6 million (2010: £4.5 million).

The IGP share price has decreased by 5% over the last year.
