An approach to morning news and text highlighting (the latter based on the Naked Traders ADVFN approach (cause it's a great approach in my opinion))...
I manually check the news for any items I am interested in...
I look for companies I hold or that or on my watchlists - For these news items I use Control Left Click to open them in a new tab.
I then use Control F to then look for "update", then "report", then "result", "AGM" and "annual" - Open those I am interested in (again in a new tab using Control Left Click).
I then do a final scan for anything else that I may be interested in or missed - Again I use Control Left Click to open that news in a new tab.
Now - Using Chrome - With the "Highlight This: finds and marks words in text" all the words in the colours I want are highlighted. Here's the highlights...
Blue (Financial)
debt
covenants
borrowings
cash
Green (Good)

Ditched ADVFN (hate that site) years ago. This method is not only FREE - It's also much quicker and consumes little memory - Usually by the time I've scanned through and opened everything I am interested in (about 5 minutes) - All the tabs are open with all highlights in place.
Hope it helps - Any questions let me know.
Hi Matylda,
Thanks for this post, I was looking at exactly the same Chrome extension. I currently use the highlighting feature on LSE.co.uk, but this can be quite slow.
The Chrome extension looks good, but can you turn it off? I'd only want to use it on the Investigate site or occasionally on another site. I'd not want the words highlighting on other sites - otherwise it will become quite annoying.
