An excellent idea. Well done.
I'd suggest Aminex as the next candidate, especially after the flood of info released with the results on all areas of operation, not just Likonde. Also very widely followed on S'pedia.

I'd like to endorse djp's remarks - great initiative by the S'pedia team.
It may be easier to "meet the management" with Jim Mellon, rather than S Dattels. The latter seems to prefer to keep his "eminence" very "grise", to the extent that I dont think you can even find a picture of him on the Internet. Jim Mellon describes SD as "my partner" and seems much more prepared to give interviews. He also has a very broad range of investment interests and some very forthright market views - and is speaking at the forthcoming Master Investor show.
One general comment concerning podcasts. Would it be possible to include transcripts of the podcast? Personally, I find it much more efficient to scan the text than to listen to it. I am less likely to listen to an interview than to read one.

I also would welcome Tom Cross of Dana participating. I for one, have deliberately ignored Dana for many years, purely because of the company's negative attitude towards private investors in respect of non-publication of presentations on their website, disdainful response to email enquiries etc. An appearance here would hopefully signal an openness not seen before.

Whilst I'd agree that DNX would be an interesting candidate, I think you are being a bit hard on their record and I for one have no complaints whatsoever about the way they treat private investors - and have never had any trouble getting a response to email enquiries (even if it hasn't always been the response I was hoping for or expecting! ;-)).
The non-publication of presentations on their website continues to be, IMO also, a major irritation - and I make the point fairly regularly to them. However, legal advice on such matters isn't always as clear as one would wish - and there are also often good commercial reasons for wanting to play cards close to one's chest when contemplating the possibility of deals in adjacent acreage (as has very frequently been the case in the past with Dana).
Nevertheless, I don't think he'd have a problem with the idea of using this forum as a conduit to investors. He has always been very open whenever I've contacted him - and he also regularly gives interviews to the Scottish press.

Just an observation but, whilst I can certainly understand the idea behind ranking the questions in the thread by the votes they receive, actually identifying the new questions posted (and thus being able to identify them) is something of a nightmare. Click on "new" and you end up in the thread not at the new question, which may already have been voted on and thus shifted up or down the ranking.

Just a quick note to say I conducted the interview with SOCO's CFO Roger Cagle this afternoon and we'll be posting the audio online at some point after 8:00pm tonight after some editing. He was extremely accommodating of the originally drafted questions and answered all of them in some depth. There's a lot of clarity over certain issues pertaining to TGD and company plans in Africa so I hope it will be an extremely good listen.
Thanks to all for submitting such a good set of questions. No journalist could have come up with them on their own, no matter how well versed in the sector. It's a tribute to the power of the crowd in the internet era.

I think this first "meet the Management" has been very positive and I'm wondering if this is available as an actual dowload-to-yer-iPod-type podcast? Or can we only listen to it from the website?
It would be great to "subscribe" to S'pedia podcasts somewhere so that they would be automatically updated as new ones are released.
