Paul Scott is currently having a few mightily deserved days off. Paul has been writing his Small Cap Value Report almost every single day without fail for the whole of this year and didn't even give himself a break over the summer! As a measure of how consistent he's been please do dig into the column archives where there is so much gold to be found. He'll be back on Monday.

Paul's daily updates are greatly appreciated. His brief discussion on each company really gets us focussing on the essentials, and I really like the way he explains his logic. All knowledge is cumulative in this game, so even if we don't make direct use of his insights straight away, there are many tidbits that we can tuck away for later.

Paul your common sense analysis and opinion of smaller companies is of great value. I look forward to receiving the report each day and via your guidance I certainly feel a much better informed investor. Like all of us you cannot be right all of the time but your valuable insight helps us certainly to limit the risk within a portfolio.

I learned about Stockopedia from David Stevenson, writing in the FT. Then I discovered Paul's daily report on Stockopedia.

It's not an exaggeration to say that my whole method of investing has changed as a result. Incredible really, when you think of the volume of verbiage produced daily by the investment industry, how the combination of one online service and one commentator can be so transformational.
