A niche market in AIS and ABSEA.

Automatic Identifier System for ships of any size. Most countries require that any vessel operating within 50 miles of it's shore line will have to have AIS fitted, which is monitored from shore stations. US coast guard has given a deadline of March next year for this to be done. It applies to fishing boats, pleasure boats, although large commercial ships and passenger ships already have state of the art equipment for this. SRT offer 3 levels of AIS. If you read rns's, they will bring you up to speed on technology and market.

ABSEA is a JV with EarthExact for satellite monitoring of vessels outside this 50 mile zone. SRT supply the hard/software, and EE supply the satellites. There are recurring charges of, I quote, ''less than a dollar a day'' for this service.

There is a huge market for this technology, and SRT are at the forefront.

At present, Because of the attack on Mumbai by terrorists who landed in boats, the Indian Govt has received tenders for AIS ( according to Goanews journal, order size is $40M), and SRT is bullish about it's offer.

Worldwide, there are 28M vessels. 5% of this market would give SRT a FTSE main listing.

All in MHO of course, and DYOR.
