Stadium Group - Interims

Stadium Group, the contract electronics engineering and manufacturing company, announced that interim results to June 2011 showed sales of £23.2 million (2010: £23.1 million), pre-tax profit of £1.58 million (2010: £1.45 million), EPS of 3.9p (2010: 3.9p) and DPS of 1.05p (2010: 0.95p).

The company reported that there were new business wins (in the areas of greentech, security and industrial controls) which should move to mature levels of operation through H2, and into 2012. The pipeline of future opportunities is expanding, with a focus on developing those higher up the value chain; the results comprised Electronics sales of £20.7 million (2010: £21.1 million) and operating profit of £1.2 million (2010: £1.4 million), and Power sales of £2.5 million (2010: £2.0 million) and operating profit of £530,000 (2010: £350,000); operating margin was 7.6% (2010: 7.5%); period end net cash was £3.7 million (2010: £1.8 million net cash).

The SDM share price has increased by 12% over the past year.
