I've just noticed that a post in which I used the phrase "any Tom, D i c k or Harry" has been revised to read "any Tom, #### or Harry." I can't imagine that this was done by a moderator in person and so I imagine it was 'bleeped' by software.
Presumably this means that we won't be able to refer to any of:
- #### Turpin - Highwayman
- #### Gephardt - US politician and VP nominee
- #### Cheney - US politician and actual proper VP
- Moby #### - well-known whale
- Phillip K. #### - sci-fi author
- #### Barton - special agent.

I'm idly wondering what other words may be covered so, whilst the following should be acceptable language, in the interests of science I'm going to test some words which may be misconstrued.
The sensitive should read no further...
- FCUK - UK fashion retailer
- Fanny Price - Jane Austen character
- Twit - Roald Dahl character
- Twat - to strike something, or, as PM candidate Cameron once said on radio "The trouble with Twitter, the instantness of it – too many twits might make a twat"

More seriously, how might we get a word used in 'polite' context through the censor? Perhaps we have to use the trick of putting spaces between the letters?:
"Known for shooting an attorney, D i c k Cheney served as George W. Bush's Vice President"
