I happened to come across a chart that is extremely relevant to the following political hot potatoes in the UK:

a) the fracking debate and

b) Energy prices in the UK (and the wall-to-wall moaning about prices!) and

c) Gas storage - lack of (and the UK Government's mistake in not encouraging more provision).

If the chart hasn't displayed as I'd hoped, suffice to say that current UK gas production is back below 1985 levels and is also less than half the production levels achieved 10 years ago!
