Westminster Plc: Boom Times Ahead from New Record Book?

Thursday, May 12 2011 by

Westminster group has been a dog of a stock since listing. Todays stock price,11/05/11 reflects that view.[16p at the open]. Last years results[out within the next 3 weeks] will show yet another huge loss. The city puts it at around £2m.

The stockmarket is all about looking out, for growth and profit. A kid of 3 can tell you that if orders go through the roof, while at the same time fixed costs stay the same, investors are on to a winner.

This stock should do very well, priced to go bust today, could turn out to be a real star as the directors and staff are about to be rewarded for all their hard work.

Is this thread a ramp?

I see it dominated by one person, full of optimism, but every post has thumbs down, with no thumbs up.

Results are now out, kitchen sink job done by new FD.

Turnover was £1.6M for the half , however order book is now a huge £14M .

We now have the No1 ex SAS guy on board who is bringing in work by the sack load, he has turned round that section of the company Longmore, within a month ,now in profit.

As i have pointed out many times the way to make very large profits on the stockmarket is to reduce risk when buying, buy when a company has stated things are on the up, yet the stock can be bought for a song.

This time last year i posted IDG on Stockopedia, just like WSG huge growth prospects, unloved, and unwanted at the time.

Take a look at its price today.

Lunch time is here, and the city has had its first look at todays statement from the company.

The buying and re rating has started with a 45% gain.

Investors need to look at what the company is valued at, a mere £3m pounds.

Put that up next to the turnover and cash in bank.

Like most of my stocks it is undervalued by a huge margin, now lets give the brokers a chance with a share price target.

News today of a $150M pound contract, most have failed to spot that this company is being re rated by the hour.

One might do well to spend this morning reading through the last few RNS statements.

Priced to go bust last year WSG looks like being a 2012 gem

A gentle word of advice that is intended to be helpful.

Your problem here, Harry, that you look like the girl in the children's story, the one who always shouted "fire!"

You have a terrible rampers track record here, witnessed by the rash of red thumbs down. So you are either ignored or not believed.

Returning to the girl, there was a real fire one day, but she was not believed and ignored.

The lesson for the children was, the house burnt down and she died.

The lesson for you is, end the ramping, get some thumbs up, and you will recover your reputation.

Todays placing got off to a roaring start helped by the upbeat trading statement.

WSG is now worth a tiny £6M yet it has 3 multi million pound contracts of which one could turn out to be over $300M over the next 15years.

Unlike so many AIM listed shares the placing was not at a discount, infact it was priced around 25% than the stock was trading a week ago.

Results are due in around 6 weeks time

WSG is on my hit list ,When it turns up a bit I might be tempted. My kind of stocks. EZJ got the chop today & went to APC. I was still tempted with Thornton's. Another day another $.
Got to be ruthless with the stop loss. plenty more fish in the sea. Having said that I made an exception with Globo, see growth over 5 years.
Research does pay off. I will leave you with this riddle:

There is a crisp new $100 note and a dirty crumpled old one. What is the difference between them?
Answer tomorrow.
Cheers from Lightningtiger

Answer $99 .The old one is a $1 note. Watch your stop losses. Great day today with BLINKS, top of the AIM stocks for me. Around +16% and climbing because of good results. Now +18.6% 3.15pm or so.
