Stockopedia explains DPS Growth

Dividend growth is a good indicator of the financial health of a company. Companies that are able to sustain and grow dividend payments over time are considered likely to be financially stable. That said, some companies do not pay stock dividends at all; rather they use these excess profits to reinvest money back into the company to fund business growth. An absence of dividends it therefore not necessarily a bad thing!
