Origo Partners PLC (Origo) is a China-based private equity investment company. The Company’s principal activities are private equity investment, focused exclusively on opportunities created by the urbanization and industrialization of China and Mongolia. Its investment strategy is focused on the natural resources and renewable energy/clean-tech sectors. Origo prefers Chinese profitable expansion-stage companies, and also considers earlier stage-opportunities, particularly in the metal and mining space. Origo also has a presence in Mongolia to supply Chinese demand for natural resources. In Mongolia, its focus is on coking coal, copper, gold, iron ore and related infrastructure opportunities. It typically invests $3 million to $20 million over the life-cycle of a company. The Company takes both minority and majority stakes, depending on the nature of any particular opportunity. Its targeted holding period for investments is usually between three to five years.
