Stock Picking Challenge 2020

Win a trip to New York for Two and other prizes by picking the top performing set of 5 stocks in 2020.

Rules of Entry to the 2020 Challenge

Only one entry is permitted per individual.
To enter, you must select a portfolio of 5 different shares in the forms above.
Only ordinary shares may be submitted. Collective investments (Funds, Trusts, ETFs) and geared instruments are excluded from entry.
We can only accept entry for shares that are in our database (i.e. available in the dropdown menus on the entry form).
Each portfolio will be equally weighted across the 5 shares and the performance tracked over the year.
The start price will be the close price on the final day of trading for the relevant stock in 2019. (e.g. 31st December 2019)
The end price will be the close price on the final day of trading for the relevant stock in 2020. (e.g. 31st December 2020)
Performance will be tracked on a share price return only basis and exclude dividends - i.e. using the start price & end price.
We reserve the right to adjust these rules to include dividends at a later date.
Corporate Actions - we will adjust all share prices for splits & consolidations.
For mergers/demergers & other corporate actions - we will attempt to administer, but in any overly complex scenario we will value the shares at the price before the corporate action date.
Suspensions/Delisted - any shares that are suspended or delisted will be valued at the last price before suspension. If a company goes into bankruptcy/liquidation then the position will be valued at zero.
