60 Second Survey - We need your input!

Monday, Feb 15 2010 by

Dear All,

Could you please help us out by taking a very short 60 second survey? It will be very helpful to our marketing and development efforts.

As we know how time-pressured everyone is, we have kept it very short and sweet. It's just 8 questions, all but the last of which are multiple choice. And the last one is optional if you are in a rush.

Thanks very much in advance for your help with this - we really appreciate it and it will help make Stockopedia a better site for everyone.

All the best,

Dave, Ed & the Stockopedia Team

Hi All, we are at about 75% of our targeted responses for the survey so, if those of you that haven't filled it out could do so, we'd really appreciate it so we can close it out. It's very quick to do. Cheers, M

In reply to Murakami (post #4)

Just one thought as you go to do your analysis: As I filled out the survey it seemed to me that it may have had a slight inbuilt bias. One section in particular came across more

"Would you like a bike on Christmas Day?"

rather than

"If it were Christmas, and you were to be offered a present, what kind of present would you like?"

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think there may be quite a few people saying that, yes, they would quite like a bike...

Point taken, SW10Chap. We didn't want to ask too many open-ended questions as that tends to reduce the number of replies as people are usually too busy to respond so they often bounce when confronted with an open-ended question in a survey. We did however leave the last question as open-ended and we have had some really interesting and varied replies to that question, so it has given us a lot to work with.

We will be publishing the summary survey results shortly (with anonymity preserved, of course). The results have certainly been really interesting and educational, both reinforcing some things we knew about while making us aware of other issues we hadn't considered.  We hope that they should be of general interest as a poll of online investor sentiment.
