Melrose Resources plc is an Edinburgh-based oil and gas exploration, development and production company with interests in Egypt, Bulgaria, Romania, United States, France and Turkey.
Melrose was founded in the 1990's and was listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange in 1999. In 2008, Melrose was admitted to the FTSE 250 share index.
In 2008 Melrose's production averaged approximately 18,500 boepd on a net entitlement basis, which is 36,500 boepd on a working interest basis.
Turnover for the year to 31 December 2008 amounted to $373.3m, with EBITDAX and profit after tax of $330.3m and $68.3m respectively.

on exploration and business development initiatives. Key investment areas for
the year will be our development projects in the Western Black Sea and

Mesaha concession in Egypt and the South Mardin blocks in Turkey."
