Company History
- Abbeycrest was established in 1979 by Michael Lever and Peter Rosenberg.
- In 1985 it joined the Unlisted Securities Market, achieving a full listing in 1988.
- In 1989, Abbeycrest moved into gemset jewellery with the acquisition of a Birmingham based manufacturer, Gallery Jewellers Limited. Next came the acquisition of Thai manufacturer Essex International pcl and the establishment of a new company Dynamic Creations Limited in Hong Kong.
- Further domestic acquisitions include, in early 2001 - Brown & Newirth Limited , a leading manufacturer in the highly specialised area of wedding rings.
- February 2003 saw the launch of Abbeycrest Thailand Limited, with the opening of a purpose built £2m factory in Lamphun.
