Today the company released news on progress at the Fenix Block. The Isabel-1 well has been drilled to a final depth of 1,365 feet the report said. The hole has reportedly been logged and plugged back in order to allow the deviated part of the well to be accessed and drilled from higher in the pilot well bore. The company said the results to date have been encouraging and in line with expectations. An analysis showed that the the top sand of the Esmeraldas-La Paz formation was encountered at 1,002 ft Wire Line Depth, confirming the pre-drill prognosis. The mud weight used through this section was 9.2 pp, the report said.  Subsequent to the repositioning of the well bore at a more effective angle, the company expect the drill to reach a total depth of 1,850 feet, with an angle of approximately 56 degrees from the vertical.
