Artisan (UK) plc is a property developer specialising in residential properties and small business parks. The company was formed in December 1998 to develop commercial property opportunities, primarily in the Cambridgeshire area. By 1999, the commercial development activities were taking off with the launch of two new business parks in Peterborough and Godmanchester. Towards the end of 2000, it expanded its house-building activities by the purchase of Rippon Homes, which operates primarily in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. It is currently building more than 130 homes each year. Rippon Homes now incorporates the Living Heritage brand of more exclusive properties.
