For those new to this piece, just a quick reminder that our Australia and New Zealand NAPS is run as an education tool and is not intended to be taken as advice or a portfolio recommendation.
We perform absolutely no changes to our basic selection of stocks that we selected way back at the start of the year when we selected the highest StockRank scores in each sector that were large enough to invest in. Be sure to remind yourself of the rules by reading the launch email.
We have just completed the reporting season for most of these businesses and therefore there are likely to have been changes in the StockRank score for an individual company. This may mean they are no longer at the top of the tree. But as this exercise is purely for the purposes of general interest, we share this learning exercise with members to see if a passive/stock specific fund can beat the market.
And as a benchmark, given that we look quite deep into the market, we measure it against the S&P/ASX300, therefore we compare ourselves against the total return of the VAS Vanguard Australian Shares Index ETF.
