Executive Summary
Axis-Shield is focussed on the development and manufacturing of key in vitro diagnostic tests for use in the hospital laboratory and at the point of care. In the former environment our products are available as stand-alone tests and also on the menu of many high throughput analysers marketed by the large global companies which dominate this marketplace. At the point of care our products include NycoCard and the new Afinion system. The organisation consists of Laboratory Diagnostics in Dundee, a Point-of-Care Division in Oslo and local distribution subsidiaries in the UK (Axis-Shield UK) and in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland (Medinor).
