I’m an Italian citizen. I would like to know a good broker, that could help with my portfolio, without having to come to London. Is it possible to communicate via email?
Most low cost brokers work online so I don't see why you'd need to come to the UK. The most popular include barclays, Bell and Interactive Investors.

I think most people here would pick their own shares and not rely on an expensive (and useless) stock selection "guru".

No problem communicating online or by email with execution only brokers. But you would need to check if UK brokers will hold accounts for non UK residents - particularly as things may have changed post Brexit.
If you are talking about a full service broker, who you want to discuss investments with, or to recommend them, then again I wouldn't see a need to come to London, though phone calls might be useful.
