Hi,
I am currently using Iweb for my trades and have found on many occasions that whether buying or selling a share it will not give me a price and allows me only to place a limit order/stop loss. I appreciate that some shares have low liquidity or the price is fast moving and therefore makes it difficult to trade it.
I am seriously considering switching broker to someone like IG in the hope that I can reliably execute the trade. I would really appreciate any feedback/experience users have with their platform on these type of situations.
For example a negative trading statement is released by a company and you decide to immediately sell the stock when the stock market opens. Do you have problems doing so? Do all platforms respond in a similar way or do some allow you execute a trade more reliably in such a situation?
Many thanks
Depends what you're looking at but I think that's fairly normal on sub 100mill or even larger on extremend busy times like you say. Had same with II and td direct and bulletin boards mention it ....naked trade I think it's called? Would imagine it's a market thing not a broker specific thing?
