Hi, I currently have a Hargreaves Lansdown account but find that /I often cannot trade in some of the foreign stocks that I would like to in say Canada, Japan and some American stocks.
As a UK citizen can you open a brockerage account in another country say USA or is there a UK provider that gives greater access than HL

Note that they only partially cover AIM (larger companies - not quite sure how they qualify), however, you can look up other countries you are interested in. UK funds are extremely limited, however, ETFs are well covered.
Their charts are fantastic, if you are in to that sort of thing. Their order execution seems very good. Their order types are extensive and stop losses and buys are executed promptly.
You can sign up for a demo and they spam you much less than interactive brokers.
