Executive Summary
Cambridge Mineral Resources plc is a junior exploration and mining company. CMR is principally engaged in exploration for gold and base metals in Europe and the Andes Mountains of South America. The company has a strong portfolio of mineral projects with a strategy to provide shareholders with an upside opportunity for both discovery and development of these projects. Bulgaria - The Company holds five exploration permits which contain a number of attractive gold deposits and targets. Four of the five permits are under joint venture with a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd (Ivanhoe), the international mining and exploration firm. The Tashlaka Hill and Chaira gold deposits are the most advanced projects. Serbia - Three exploration permits are held under joint venture with Ivanhoe and cover advanced gold and porphyry copper-gold targets. Significant alteration and mineralization have been discovered on each of the permits and aggressive exploration programs are underway. Peru - The Company holds a 50% interest in the Patacancha claim group in the Ayacucho gold belt of southern Peru. Multiple mineralized veins and breccia zones outcrop on these claims. At the Marcelita-2 deposit, under development as of mid-year 2005, small scale gold production is scheduled to commence in the immediate future. Spain - The Lomero-Poyatos and San Telmo polymetallic massive sulphide project area is located in the Iberian Pyrite Belt of southern Spain. As the Company is focusing on gold projects in Eastern Europe and the Andes, a joint venture partner is actively being sought for this base metal project area which contains a number of high quality ready-to-drill targets including well-defined electromagnetic anomalies. Falkland Islands - CMR holds a 7.34% equity interest in the AIM quoted company Falkland Gold and Minerals Limited (???FGML???) which is exploring for gold throughout the Falkland Islands.
FGML is now BPC and I could not find any reference to CMR's investment so assume its been sold.
