I'm Executor for my late mother - who left a portfolio of shares to be split between her grandchildren, 3 of whom are under 18. They are currently with Interactive Investor - who don't offer held in Trust accounts for <18s. The shares were originally with Alliance Trust Savings, who did offer kids accounts, prior to them being taken over by Interactive Investor.
I'm struggling to find an online platform who will allow me to operate a childs account under a Bare Trust, and who will allow an "in specie" transfer in from Interactive Investor. The amounts are too large for Junior ISAs.
Has anyone had a similar issue - especially with Interactive Investor / Alliance Trust Savings?
And any ideas of who might be helpful? I've currently got AJ Bell / Youinvest thinking about it - but they want to transfer in shares already in a Trust account, which is the issue.
