I find these a useful backdrop and so am posting this in the hope that others will find this equally useful. I have no connection with those who produced this.

Thanks for that share, I did wonder why Paul no longer posted these on here. I do watch Paul’s Vox videos and thankfully my TV prods me when another one arrives, but I didn’t notice it last night. He even does one with PS on a Friday

Hi Paul, out of interest did Stockopedia give an indication why they didnt want subscribers to have access to them here?

I find them very useful as a point of reference if i was interested at any time in investing in any of the companies mentioned!!

As long as subscribers are aware that everyone is talking their own book etc. etc. I cannot see a problem.

No, unfortunately not Helvellyn. I guess it was simply because we all like & dislike different things.

Additionally, Stockopedia have introduced a ton of new content (re weekly podcasts), so some of the older material needed to make space.

This seems an odd decision by Stockopedia. The fact each stock was tagged and the videos links became archived in the 'discussion' tab for each stock mentioned added value and a quick introduction into the (usually bull) case for a stock which might have come up during screening. Just a starter point for research, but always found it useful, especially if it emerged multiple fund managers were talking about the same stocks from different angles. Struggling to see what the downside would be for Stockopedia.

I agree. It all adds to the research when looking at stocks.

I've watched the majority of the vids Paul Hill has made in the last year and they all have provided something useful and a new insight and taken nothing away from what this site provides. Also Paul's genuine enthusiasm is great.

Perhaps Stockopedia can arrange to interview fund managers etc themselves? It's all useful.

Really sorry to hear that Paul and a terrible decision by Stocko in my opinion. I pay my subscription as it helps me research shares. Being able to search a ticker and find fund manager interviews on shares is hugely valuable - removing that alongside their fall out with PS really tanks the value for me (I'd like information to be easier rather than more difficult to access, call me old fasioned). I appreciate all the work you put in and hopefully Stocko can reverse this decision.

Fund manager interviews are a very great addition to everything stockopedia provided. Those interviews in addition to stockopedia help me to make my best return last year since I joined stockopedia in 2019. They provide stock ideas, most of which I would not have ordinarily be aware of. I then use stockopedia and other resources to further research those stocks and decide whether to buy them or not. Before I started using those interviews, I mostly enter position too late. Also, the fund managers go to the companies and have meetings with their management, so they have some insight on how the business is doing. I do not think it will hurt stockopedia if the fund managers continue to share their experience with stockopedia community. Please, return those interviews. They are extremely useful!

I’m very fond of both the Pauls, and found their chats very informative and amusing; the ‘Statler and Waldorf’ of small caps!

I really like Vox markets videos and am particularly impressed by Laurence Hulse.

Whilst I appreciate the hard work of the new team and the pivot in a new direction I think Stocko should be a broad church as few seem to be interested in the field currently.

This is my first post providing feedback on what has happened over the last couple of months.

As mentioned by some others above/below, I use a variety of sources to investigate and research stocks (including collective investments - UT & IT) before I make any buying decisions. I view the costs of doing this as part of my costs of PF management and probably spend £1,000+ pa on multiple subscriptions - including certain newspapers which I agree provide more than just investment info.

Having access to Paul Hills info was convenient through Stockopedia, but I can also source it from other places ie. directly or through PS's site where he still posts it. It just seems petty to stop an additional page post by a valued commentator.

To this end I see the subscription to Stockopedia becoming less of a must-have; one of the key writers has departed (that's not to say the remaining ones don't add value, but there is now duplication with regards to sources/subscriptions), I can get key financial data from other sources I subscribe to, quick links such as Paul Hills interviews have disappeared, many of the knowledgeable commentators have gone, are posting less or shortly leaving.

There are some other useful pages/BB's I look at eg. Investment Trusts, Trade Ideas etc, but these seem to be losing their sparkle a bit.

All in all, I am not sure if the long-term direction is worth one of my more expensive outlays. I will need to consider this when my sub comes up for renewal later in the year. My acid test will be - "can Stockopedia & its articles provide me with some reasonable ideas which make me money over the next few months, vs my other sources".

Interestingly, all my investments get labelled with the original person that bought the stock to my attention - it might not be an immediate "buy" but I like to keep a track on who is adding value to my PF.

Really appreciate you posting this. I also missed them and don't really understand why stockapedia has prohibited Paul from posting. Unfortunately the ban will just drive investors to divert their time to other services/providers.

Hi Paul, I really enjoy your interview videos and watch live when I can. I subscribe to VOX Markets on YouTube.

Taking the contrarian view, I can understand that Stockopedia would probably want any content on Stockopedia such as podcasts, videos etc to be produced in house as there is an obvious conflict between them and their intellectual property and a third party such as Vox Markets. For example Stockopedia has launched a weekly podcast and therefore they would want people listening to this and not have other third party podcasts such as Bloomberg, Paul Scott linked to within Stockopedia.

Vox Markets is a commercial entity. This is similar to why it is difficult to share say YouTube clips to X (different owners) but easy to share Instagram posts to Facebook (both Meta owned)

It is a shame but I will continue to watch along on YouTube. I can see the reasons behind the Stockopedia decision however.
