Dominion Petroleum Limited (LON:DPL) is an oil and gas and exploration and development company based in East Africa with interests in Tanzania, Uganda and DR Congo. It has four licences in Tanzania covering a total area of 10m acres, where it is exploring an offshore deepwater area. Dominium Petroleum is also actively exploring the Lake Edward basin in Uganda. The company has not yet achieved a revenue position but had cash on hand of $4.7m at the end of 2009.  In July 2010, the company announced the latest drilling results for its Ngaji-1 well in Uganda, which were inconclusive but in line with the company's plan to drill the whole basin following a favourable geological examination.
