Headline shares are tipped to open between 25 and 30 points lower, according to financial websites, following subdued trading in New York. In the US last night, the Dow slipped 20 points at 10,191, the Nasdaq Composite was flat at 2,244 and the S&P500 fell 2 points at 1,090. In Asia today, the Nikkei was up 18.52 points at 9,898.37, while the Hang Seng ended the morning ahead 77.33 points at 20,129.24. Crude oil traded at $75.16 a barrel on Nymex while gold settled at $1,223 an ounce.
