Headline shares are tipped to open between 0 and 5 points lower, according to financial websites, following relatively flat markets in New York last night and across Asia this morning. In the US last night, the Dow edged up 25 points at 10,434, the Nasdaq Composite was 1 point higher at 2,307 and the S&P 500 was up 1 point at 1,116. In Asia today, the Nikkei was down 23.15 points at 9,976.25, while the Hang Seng ended the morning ahead 151.91 points at 20,290.31. Crude oil traded at $76.52 a barrel on Nymex while gold settled at $1,246 an ounce.
