Headline shares are tipped to open eight to twelve points lower today, according to financial websites, investors cautious as concerns over debt persist and the OECD warns of possible UK rate increases. In the US last night, the Dow lost 69 points at 9,974, the Nasdaq fell 15 points at 2,196 and the S&P500 shed 6 points at 1,068. In Asia today, the Nikkei was last up 66.08 points at 9,588.74, while the Hang Seng ended the morning ahead 143.82 points at 19,340.27. Crude oil traded at $71.11 a barrel on Nymex and gold settled at $1,218 an ounce.
