Headline shares are tipped to open between 35 and 40 points higher according to financial websites, as Asian stock markets provide a strong lead. In the US on Friday, the Dow gained 39 points at 10,211, the Nasdaq Composite rose 25 points at 2,244 and the S&P500 climbed 5 points at 1,092. In Asia today, the Nikkei was up 156.36 points at 9,861.61, while the Hang Seng ended the morning ahead 174.76 points at 20,047.14. Crude oil traded at $74.71 a barrel on Nymex while gold settled at $1,232 an ounce.
