Headline shares are tipped to open 10 points to 20 points higher, according to financial websites, on the back of Asian markets edging upwards earlier this morning. In the US on Friday, the Dow added 59 points at 10,198, the Nasdaq rose 21 points at 2,196 and the S&P 500 gained 8 points at 1,078. In Asia today, the Nikkei was down 32.24 points at 9,553.08, while the Hang Seng ended the morning ahead 137.41 points at 20,516.07. Crude oil traded at $75.91 a barrel on Nymex while gold settled at $1,209 an ounce.
LONDON MARKETS
In the corporate diary for the day, interim results are due from Domino's Pizza Uk & Irl Plc. Final results are expected from Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings PLC, Invista Foundation Property Trust Ltd and Ksk Power Ventur PLC. Elsewhere, Brainspark, Independent Resources, Norkom Group, Shires Income, TyraTech and Value and Income Trust will host their AGMs/EGMs.
