Morning all,
Posting here as the Stockopedia help section isnt working.
I'm not sure how to interpret the EMS info. If a company has an EMS of 1.000K thats surely not an EMS of 1000, is it?
Cheers
Martin
Exchange market size is the number of shares a market maker is required to deal in at the current bid/offer price.
Outside of this range they don't have to offer current market prices. It's normally only ever an issue with micro caps whereby the ems is small and if you build a big position and the price tanks you could find yourself getting offered a bid price below the current open market price.
It can also sometimes be an issue for stocks with a low free float check Stocko for current free float percentage I generally avoid anything sub 40% free float.
