We are coming up to the end of the 2019 tax year and could anyone advise if the above PIK (Payment in kind) retail bonds are classified as Qualifying Corporate Bonds (QCB) By HMRC. The reason for the question is QCB's are not subject to CGT. QCB losses cannot be offset against capital gains.
My understanding of HMRC's QCB definition is that the retail bonds appear to met all the general requirements. However as interest can be paid in cash or bond notes at face value this aspect is not totally clear to me if the requirements are still met.
Comments appreciated.
Sory - not answering your question. Coupon due to be paid in cash on Feb 15th but has anyone actually received it yet?
Not showing as of this morning in my iDealing account.
