Company History
Enterprise Inns was founded by Ted Tuppen in 1991 with 368 pubs from Bass. Since then it has completed a series of acquisitions to become one of the largest pub operators in the UK. The majority of its 7,000+ estate is made up of freehold pubs, with the rest comprising leased premises. In recent years the group has lobbied the UK Government for fairer treatment of pub owners through the tax system as concerns have grown about the number of pub closures and the economic challenges faced by landlords.
