I bought a small entry holding in Eqtec (LON:EQT) at the time of the May 21 placing. Company appears to have a commercially viable solution to the challenge of converting waste into energy in a sector where there are plenty of good intentions that don’t always make economic sense. I was brought to this share via a commentary from Paul Jourdan at Amati Investors who are one of the principal shareholders and further research suggests there is substance here to back up the hype. Several co-invest/JV projects (they are the brains, others provide existing plant to be repurposed and finance which seems a sensible business model) ongoing in various parts of Europe. Recent Interim Results statement at the end of September gives a good overview of a healthy project pipeline. Loss making and historically small beer but seem to be on the runway for rapid expansion in the next 18 months.

Thank You for that information and your comments Gus on Eqtec. They seem to offer good value when compared with similar investments and seem to have have a good base holding with major shareholders. Like you say the next 18 months look interesting!
Aside from the awful COVID news not really unexpected. ( AZN said it would be a fairly simple procedure to tweak vaccines according to variants), on a day like today this is particularly good news: EQTEC plc (AIM: EQT), a world-leading gasification solutions company building

I invested a few times after it dropped way below placing price which it still is a little. Seems to struggle to hold its upward momentum on good news which it mostly has.This partnership could break that trend hopefully. We definitely need companies like this to succeed thought not the best reason to invest. Thats why when a company like Wood partners it increases its appeal and credibility considerably. There have been a few partnerships along the way but this looks a particularly useful one. Align Research put out a new note today and conviction buy to 3.45p. ETQ is a client but Align are also an investor here,
