Anybody looking at Evraz right now? What are the odds of it being delisted and other Russian related political risks I wonder?
It does look cheap and the expected dividend is a whopping ~50% (caveat: subject to political risks)

Extra aluminium now being produced in Limerick by a Russian -owned company with bauxite supplies being diverted away from their redundant factory in Ukraine to Ireland. Just what Putin wants for his missiles.
Well said. the Americans have “spread democracy” at the end of a missile to about 50 countries in the past 50 years.
Nato have been poking the bear for years and Putin finally said enough is enough.

as Ukrainian NATO supporting Government just signed up to follow the WEF great reset agenda, I do not see this “war” ending any time soon. The plan will not be allowed to fail.......
Well I’m sure that quite a few people here were impacted by recent events. Not sure investors though are totally blameless. My view is that the US flagged early what was going to happen while other parties denied it. Is was our choice what we believed but at the start the US called it right. That being said maybe there a lesson here for risk management (or reading the right news papers).
Hi Roodini,
Thank you for the link. Yes you are absolutely correct.
By the way, I pay monthly for Chris MacIntosh's CapexInsider, he also has a free newsletter ,you would definitely find it interesting.
£EVR There is a group on Telegram discussing all things Evraz .."Evraz investor community"
Many or all of the London Stock Exchange listed ADR / GDR Russian stocks are being delisted and will go to zero.
So if you bought something like Tatneft for say £10,000 then the LSE valuation is essentially zero and the Russian Exchange (MOEX) listed underlying stock is actually trading at the equivalent of around £20,000. i.e. The LSE price says ~£0 and the real price in Russia is £20k.
Sophisticated brokers such as IBKR are no longer allowing for the conversion from ADR / GDR to the underlying Russian listing on the MOEX.
The only stockbroker I know of allowing conversion from ADR/GDR to MOEX is Freedom24.com however they don't appear to be taking on new clients with UK passport (as I tried and failed).
If anyone has worked out a solution then I would be grateful if you could share it.
IMPORTANT: Also, with regard to Evraz, Evraz are advising people get get paper certificates. See the below:
"
It is anticipated that after the Termination Date CREST members will not be able to transfer the Company’s shares electronically due to the fact that EVRAZ, as holder of the register, will not have access to the CREST clearing system and all transactions will need to go through the Company with a stock transfer form and can be subject to a stamp duty. To secure title to the Company’s shares shareholders may wish to convert their electronic shares into physical paper shares. To receive share certificates shareholders are advised to consult their stockbroker and ensure that proper instructions are given to Computershare prior to the Termination Date.
"
I should be grateful to learn of the general feeling about whether to obtain a share certificate from Evraz or to leave any holding as is. I am certainly in a quandary about this decision and time is running out
I'm getting the certificate myself. Have a look at the telegram group mentioned below for a lot more information.
How do I find the group on Telegram? When I search in the app I'm seeing Evraz Plc but nothing like 'Evraz investor community'
(1) Load up a browser on your phone (e.g. Chrome),
(2) then surf to the following link: https://t.me/+2PPHdi39wRliNWE0
(3) and then choose to open the link in the Telegram App.
It's an impossible situation, you just don't know what will happen in the future. If Evr is not in an Isa, maybe best to transfer to paper, if it's in an isa, maybe leave it. Sipp and Junior isa holders have no option but to leave it in anyway. But there is no easy or "right" answer atm
Evraz are telling shareholders to get paper certificates so that's what I did (haven't received them as of yet however).
I'm confused about this. Is the delisting initiated by LSE or by Evraz? Has someone for a link to the source documents? Tx
