This forum has been created for all new, already experienced or amateur investors whom require a little mentorship/advice in this rollercoaster of an adventure. Why did I create this post? Well, frankley, because I have a million questions that are so totally day one of finance school that I have always been to embarrassed to ask them and I'm suspecting there are others, like me, out there in Stockoland.

Stockopedia has a VAST array of knowledge within its creators, employed experts, its volunteers, its website and its incredible (albeit sometimes emotionally heated) community of members; why not learn from those willing to teach. I often see people trying to learn by asking simple questions in different posts (me included), and these do get answered, however, they then get lost to the archives of time never to be found again...the lesson is lost... hence this thread.

Ask those questions you never wanted to ask due to embarrassment; for you will grow as a result and so will someone else;  answer those questions that, to you, seem so confoundly amateurish that you wonder why that person is even trying to invest, praise them for at least trying! You can even sit back, read what people are asking and reflect on the given responses as one may find the spark that ignites further understanding. A mentor once taught me... "A wise man learns by his mistakes, an even wiser one learns from the mistakes of others" so share your lessons and experiences with the new guys, decide on your purpose and act, for every action you take, is in some way, important.

All I ask is that we abide by 4 rules in here, these are:

If the slogan of Pringles is "Once you pop, you can't stop" then why are they made with a re-sealable lid? Also, have a check back through the forum to see if your question has been asked previously.

2. Please don't ignore the 'silly' question if you know the answer and it hasn't been answered yet, or even have a discussion on why you may think a given answer may be inaccurate or need elaborating upon... it may help more than one person, in more than one way.

3. Please remain constructive, no petty tantrums or snidey remarks.

4. Nothing within…
