San Leon Energy (LON:SLE) (BUY, £0.80) (SLE, 14.5p, ? (0.0%)) announced the appointment of Vincent Barry as Chief Financial Officer of San Leon with immediate effect. Vincent Barry (F.C.C.A) is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has over twelve years experience in the areas of audit and accounting, financial reporting, taxation, corporate finance and AIM/PLUS Market reporting. Since January 2008, Vincent was Director of Corporate Finance at LHM Casey McGrath, a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants in Dublin. During this period he had a leading role on several successful company listings on the AIM and PLUS Quoted markets, in the oil and gas and mineral exploration sectors. He has also advised extensively on the implementation of International Accounting Standards (IFRS), the development of internal financial controls and corporate governance procedures and Merger & Acquisitions projects.

Empyrean Energy (LON:EME) (EME, 6p, ? (0.0%)) announced that the operator of the BP America A-740 #1 well, Krescent Energy Company LLC, has completed construction of the pipeline required to connect the well to the nearby sales pipeline. On 4 September the well was turned on to sales with a flow tubing pressure of 3250 psi and was heavily choked back to achieve a gas rate of 210Mcfd. This rate is being deliberately achieved whilst the pipeline owner installs a compressor to assist with the additional flow of gas from this new discovery. Following installation of the compressor, the well will be walked up to a stable production rate. The well will be monitored and evaluated during this process.

Rockhopper Exploration (LON:RKH) (BUY, £3.50) (RKH, 318p, ? (0.55%)) announced that the Ocean Guardian drilling rig is at the location of the Sea Lion 14/10-2 discovery well and that operations to carry out a flow test on the Sea Lion main and lower fans are underway. While testing operations can be more sensitive to weather conditions than standard drilling operations, the Company anticipates that operations will be completed in approximately 30 days.

Chariot Oil & Gas (CHAR, 119p, ? (5.54%)) announced an update to its Namibian resource potential, based upon the mapping and interpretation of the 3D seismic datasets received at the beginning of July for blocks 1811A&B in the North and blocks 2714A&B in the South and the final interpretation of the 2D seismic in its Central blocks offshore Namibia.…
