Tullow Oil Plc (LON:TLW) (TLW, 1236p, ? (0.0%)) Anadarko Petroleum, Kosmos Energy, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Sabre Oil and Gas and E.O. Group announce that First Oil from the Jubilee field, offshore Ghana, will be celebrated today. His Excellency John Atta Mills, President of Ghana, will be the guest of honour at the ceremony. First Oil events will take place both offshore on the FPSO and onshore in Takoradi, close to the Jubilee onshore support base. Oil first flowed into the FPSO on Sunday 28 November and this oil has been used to commission the facilities. The oil production rate will initially increase to 55,000bopd and then to 120,000bopd, as new wells are completed over the next three to six months. The first tanker of oil from the Jubilee field is expected to be exported in January 2011.
Xcite Energy (LON:XEL) Ltd (XEL, 235p, ? (7.6%)) announced that the 9/3b-6z horizontal well section on the Bentley field has not yet commenced the test phase. An operational issue with the export hose has occurred and an alternative testing procedure has been identified and is in the process of being implemented. The well test is expected to commence as soon as operational and weather conditions allow.
Aurelian Oil & Gas plc (AUL, 58p, ? (0.4%)) announced that Nicholas Coats, the Board representative of Lord Sainsbury of Preston Candover KG, has resigned as a Non-executive Director of Aurelian with effect from 14 December 2010. Mr Coats served as a Director from 19 June 2009. Following the share placing last month, Lord Sainsbury of Preston Candover KG now holds an interest of 4.51% in the Company, reduced from the 19.65% held by him on Mr Coats' appointment.
