San Leon Energy (LON:SLE) plc (BUY, 50p) (AIM: SLE, 12.5p, ? 0.0%) noted the announcement by Providence Resources plc regarding the delivery of the GSF Arctic III ("Arctic III") semi-submersible drilling rig for the upcoming appraisal drilling programme at Barryroe. The Arctic III came under contract on Saturday, November 5th and the rig is currently being mobilised to Irish waters from the North Sea. Providence holds a 50% interest in the Barryroe licence (SEL 1/11) and operates on behalf of its partners San Leon Energy Plc (30%) and Lansdowne Oil & Gas Plc (20%).
Aurelian Oil & Gas plc (AIM: AUL, 23p, ? 3.4%) announced that on 4 November 2011 it received a TR1 Notification of Major Interests in Shares from Kulczyk Investments S.A. ("Kulczyk"), stating that on 4 November 2011, as a result of an acquisition of an interest in a further 10,641,261 ordinary shares of 5 pence each ("Shares"), the number of Shares in which it is now interested is 66,300,104 representing 13.41% of the total voting rights ("TVR") in Aurelian.
Caza (LON:CAZA) Oil & Gas Inc. (AIM: CAZA, 13.38p, ? 5.9%) announced the appointment of Randy Nickerson to the position of Vice President, Exploration. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer, Michael Ford, Randy will provide leadership and management of all Company technical activities. Randy joins Caza from Sanchez Oil & Gas where he began as Chief Geophysicist before becoming Sanchez's Vice President, Exploration.
Frontera Resources (LON:FRR) Corporation (AIM: FRR, 1.38p, ? 2.8%) announced that it was notified on November 4 2011, by Steve C. Nicandros, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, of the purchase of 446,000 ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 1.4 pence per share. Following the share purchase, Mr Nicandros holds a total of 157,113,473 Ordinary Shares.
