Providence Resources (LON:PVR) (PVR LN, 214.75p, ? 0.0%) gave an update on its operation in Dublin. It announced that it has been awarded Standard Exploration Licence 2/11 ("Licence") in the Kish Bank Basin, offshore Dublin by the Irish Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. The Licence, which is a successor authorisation to the previous Licence Option 08/2, has been granted for a period of up to six years, and is split into 2 three year phases. The Licence contains the Dalkey Island exploration prospect and the partners have committed to the drilling of at least one well during the first phase. The partners have recently commenced the application process for a foreshore licence over the area in order to carry out well site survey and drilling operations. Providence holds a 50% interest in the Licence and operates on behalf of its partner Star Energy.

Alexander Nubia International Inc. (BUY, C$0.35) (AAN TSX-V, C$ 0.045, -35%) announced results from the current drilling program at its Abu Marawat gold-copper-zinc-silver property. Best results include 11.6 m grading 10.8 g/t gold, 185 g/t silver, 0.86 % copper and 4.64 % zinc, and 5.7 m grading 0.99 g/t gold, 25.2 g/t silver, 0.28 % copper and 1.22 % zinc. The results will contribute to the finalised NI 43-101 compliant resource statement to be completed in Q1-2012. Assays are pending for drill holes AAM-066, AAM-072, AAM-074-AAM-081, and parts of AAM-063 to AAM-069 and AAM-072. Drilling has commenced at the Hamama zinc-gold-copper-silver volcanogenic massive sulphide property.
