Does anyone know what filters I should be using to identify a company that meets the requirements for entering either the FTSE 100 or FTSE 250?

The FTSE add/delete stocks according to market cap, adjusted for free-float. So in terms of screening on Stockopedia, you just need to multiply these two criteria & then sort large to small to see where in the stock in question sits.
FTSE 100 and FTSE 250:
A security will be inserted at the periodic review if it rises above the position stated below:
FTSE 100 - Risen to 90th or above
FTSE 250 - Risen to 325th or above
A security will be deleted at the periodic review if it falls below the position stated below:
FTSE 100 - Fallen to 11th or below
FTSE 250 - Fallen to 376th or below
