Is there a historical list of the quarterly FTSE 100 constituent changes i.e. who left and who joined?

Yes there is - you can find it here : on the ftserussell website . It did at one stage look to put it all in a database so that you could pick a date and see the constituents at any point in time, however there seemed to be some anomalies of companies getting demoted despite not apparently having been promoted in the first place. So I'm not sure it is 100% accurate.
