Executive Summary
Gasol plc is an AIM-listed company founded in 2005 and established to capitalise on opportunities in the oil and gas sector. It aims to become the premier Africa-focused independent gas company. Initially, the strategy is to focus on building a substantial business working along the LNG value-chain; this involves gas gathering, liquefaction of natural gas (LNG), and the shipment and regasification of LNG into high-value markets world-wide.
The Company's assets include a 100 per cent shareholding in African LNG Holdings, a strategic alliance with Afren Plc, and an interest in a joint venture to monetise natural gas supplies from Equatorial Guinea. Additionally, the Company holds a strategic alliance to develop floating LNG solutions, pipeline and other infrastructure and shipping with Teekay Corporation.
The Board has substantial experience of the gas sector, and in particular LNG, and benefits from the appointment as Special Advisor of Dr. Rilwanu Lukman, who was formerly OPEC President and Secretary General.
