Guys,
I've completed my buy back in to Soco.
Being honest I thought my monies were better invested elsewhere for the past year. Whilst that has proved to be true it's purely down to a 10 plus bagger on GKP. Others such as Ascent Resources have been flops.
I now see Soco as the best bang per buck play over the next 6 to 12 months. (I always knew this would be the case just waited to get the timing right)
We have two very important campaigns to look forward to that in my view will lead to a major sale of assets or potentially the whole company. IF the drillbit has some success in Vietnam or Africa then I think it wouldn't be difficult to perhaps start thinking of £50 per share again (yes I know about the proposed 4 for 1)
So c'mon Soco lets get these drills right, I'm convinced the Fan will work from the data I've seen and if so the numbers get rather large.
But then again Africa is potentially MASSIVE if they go it alone.
The Shining JonnyT

Yes - good call JonnyT...well done! Good job that GKP struck lucky for you though, otherwise it would have been a bit of a disaster? (Frontera, GKP, Afren and Ascent, wasn't it?) ;-)
Still - right to think there were other opportunities out there and that nothing much would happen (though whether that would have been the case without the banking collapse and the reinterpretation of the seismic we'll never know!).
Disappointingly [;-)] I can't disagree with any of your comments re the near-term upside. My only additional comment is that it seems surprising that no-one in the City appears to care much at present about what is, very clearly, the highest-impact drilling programme in the FTSE350 universe....despite it being perhaps 4 months away from being substantially derisked!
